This therapeutic salve has a variety of health benefits. It is considered a heal-all. Among the many compounds in cottonwood bud there is salicin, a pre-curser to salicylic acid, is the active compound in Aspirin. Salicin helps reduce inflammation and ease pain. It has a fragrant, compelling aroma similar to propolis. The cottonwood buds are hand harvested on our farm.
